Baby Vasili is here!

At 20 days (3 weeks) old, it can sometimes be harder for babies to sleep, curl and pose the same as a newborn baby who is 2 weeks old or younger.

Babies quickly grow up!  Faster than we ever want.  And after two weeks a baby starts to become more aware of the world around them.  More aware of touch, movement, noise and people.

They also stop sleeping as deeply as they once did, and wake more easily.

This is why it's important to book newborn portraits as early as possible, even before your baby arrives, to be able to get those sleepy, curly poses!  Optimal timing is between 5 and 12 days old for newborn photos.

If your baby is already a few weeks old, don't stress!  Your baby is still as sweet, cute and beautiful as ever and ANY TIME is a good time for professional photos of your precious little one! 

(By the way, I personally LOVE awake photos of babies!  We often photograph more aware shots with older babies and their personality can really shine when their eyes are open. Just sayin!)
