Congratulations to Lauren and Phillip! Another boy added to the family. I am also a mum of three boys and it's a bit of club you join when the third boy arrives. The "mum-of-three-boys" club.
It's a full house when those footsteps can be heard rumbling through the hallways at every hour of the day.
Lauren, you have such a beautiful family and I am absolutely tickled pink - or blue? - that you've joined the "mum-of-three-boys" club with so many other mums, hearts and hands full of love and craziness!
Welcome to the "Mum of Three Boys" Club. We have a few rules ...
We only meet every three years or so. At someone else's house, usually with at least one of our boys tacking around our feet.
Alot of wardrobe tends to be blue - it's subconscious - don't sweat it! But try and buy a different colour once in a while! (It's weird, and it's true - alot of my clothing is blue...)
Get together's are .. interesting. Every 3 seconds at least one mum will be telling a boy to get off the couch, the window sill, the fence or other high surface. Every 5 seconds another mum will be pulling two wrestling children off each other.
Every 5 minutes, a boy will run to the garden to do a wee... in front of everyone. Beware of meeting at the park.
The only rule any of us really need to know is: They're just boys!
Embrace the crazy, let go of the cleanliness and get comfortable with 'boy smell.' It's going to stick around for a few years.
